Harriet McGowan was born in New York’s Capital District where she remained for the majority of her life. After graduating from the College of St. Rose, she completed her career as a seventh-grade English teacher in the public school system.
In her early twenties, she experienced a personal encounter with Jesus Christ, which totally transformed her life. This conversion had a wonderful effect on her teaching career, as well. Anyone with a notorious reputation in the class, rarely became a problem for she had come to realize there was something worthwhile in each student.
It was about this time, that she began composing her thoughts regarding spiritual warfare and her relationship with the Lord. The many years of journaling paid off and with some help from the Lord, the material came together and the words began to flow.
